Kara Charise Harman, soprano, is very excited to be singing with the Williamsburg Choral Guild (this is her second appearance with the group). Although Kara is a professional opera singer, she has also performed a great deal of musical theater and sacred music. Some highlights include covering the role of Isolde when Virginia Opera offered Wagner's
Tristan und Isolde, singing the role of La Contessa in Mozart's
Le nozze de Figaro with Opera Festival di Roma in Italy and performing Ida (the mother) in
HONK! with Theatre IV in Richmond. She is very proud to be an artist with the Evelyn Lear and Thomas Stewart Emerging Singers Program (ESP) in partnership with the Wagner Society of Washington, DC. Many thanks and love to her family for their continued support.
