Summer Sings

Each Summer Sing event features an open-reading session of a great choral masterwork, featuring a guest conductor, soloists, and piano accompaniment.  Described by a happy participant as “summer camp for singers,” these programs are for all those who love to sing, with any experience level.  Listeners are also welcome.  Bring your own music score or borrow one for the evening.  Registration opens at 7:00 pm.

  • When:
    Monday  June 5, 2017:  Brahms Requiem

Ms. Sarah Frook Gallo, Artistic Director of the Virginia Choral Society will conduct the Brahms Requiem.  Ms. Diane Snider, Associate Director of the Virginia Choral Society will be the accompanist. 

  • Monday June 12, 2017:  Mozart Requiem

Ms. Erin Freeman, Artistic Director of Wintergreen Performing Arts will conduct the Mozart Requiem.  Ms. Rebecca Davy, Music Director and organist at Bruton Parish will be the accompanist.

Tickets:
Registration fee is $10 for each event.  Singers may register at the door.
