The Williamsburg Youth Chorale is a new treble ensemble sponsored by the Williamsburg Choral Guild and formed during the Guild’s 2010-11 35th Anniversary season to bring additional focus to choral music throughout all age groups in the community. It is through this ensemble that the Guild hopes to encourage students to join for a limited time commitment, who may not be able to commit to a year-round choir, due to other commitments and activities through the school year. The ensemble will comprise up to 40 students from grades 3 through High School. Participation in the Youth Chorale is by invitation after a vocal interview with Chorale Director, Ann Porter. Rehearsals are currently held on Tuesday evenings, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the choir room at Bruton Parish House, directly behind the W&M bookstore in the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg
