Georgeann "Gigi" Paddock, soprano
Ms. Paddock has given numerous performances in the U. S. and abroad. She holds music degrees from Indiana University/Bloomington and from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, with further study at the Nürnberg Musikonservatorium.
Her professional engagements include concerts in St. Paul, Omaha, Hong Kong, Richmond, Colonial Williamsburg, Norfolk, New York, Nürnberg, Munich and London. In 2006 she premiered a Michael Robinson opera in Washington, D.C. Locally Ms. Paddock has appeared as a soloist with the Virginia Opera, Virginia Symphony, Williamsburg Choral Guild, Virginia Choral Society, Richmond Choral Society, Cantata Chorus and Art Song of Williamsburg. She has also presented numerous chamber concerts at Christopher Newport University, Old Dominion University and College of William and Mary. She has sung under the batons of Leonard Bernstein, Jan DeGaetani, Norman Luboff, Robert Page, JoAnn Falletta and Bernt Dietrich.
In addition to performance, Ms. Paddock has coached and conducted for two decades. She served for a time as Artist-in-Residence at Luther Seminary, Hong Kong, teaching voice and performing chamber music. She has published a collection of hymn arrangements and children’s songs as well as recorded archival and commercial projects. She is currently music director at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Norge.
