As our free gift to the community this year, the Choral Guild offers a special semistaged, family-friendly, presentation of Amahl and the Night Visitors, an opera in one act by Gian Carlo Menotti. It tells the story of a poor shepherd boy’s encounter with the three kings and the miraculous healing of his crippled leg when he offers his crutch as a gift to take to the birth site of Jesus. Regularly performed around the country every Christmas season, the opera has not been performed locally for many years.
