Williamsburg
Choral Guild “Summer Sings” –
“Summer Sings” is
a program sponsored by the Williamsburg Choral Guild that features three
different sing-alongs of great choral masterpieces, each with a guest
conductor, soloists and piano accompaniment. These consecutive
Wednesday evening events in June start at 7:00 p.m. with registration
and announcements, and singing begins at 7:30. All programs take
place at Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists at 3051 Ironbound Road,
near Five Forks between Route 5 and Jamestown Road. For more information,
visit www.williamsburgchoralguild.org. Admission is $10. Bring your own
score, or borrow one at the door. Tickets for any or all of the three
sessions may be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance
or in advance through the Guild’s secure on-line ticketing service.
The Guild welcomes singers of all abilities as well as those who just want to listen. Sight-reading familiarity is a plus, but a love of community music-making is the only requirement for would-be songsters and choral music fans. Click here for this summer's schedule and repertoire.
