Artistic Director Dr. Daniel Parks

The Williamsburg Choral Guild is delighted to welcome Dr. Daniel Parks as Artistic Director.

“One aspect of music that I find inspiring is the invitation to listen. Music has the potential to connect us to an enormous range of experiences — stunning beauty, captivating drama, poignant storytelling — through the transformative power of listening. Our world and our lives are increasingly noisy, busy, and scattered, but community singing offers a refreshing and much-needed contrast.

The members of a chorus honor each other through active listening and, by joining voices in concert, create something together that no individual could alone. Whether presenting beloved masterworks or compelling pieces by living composers, choral singing has the power to bring people together.

I am beyond excited to join the Williamsburg Choral Guild this season, and it is my honor and privilege to serve as your Artistic Director.”

Daniel Parks was featured in a Next Door Neighbors Magazine interview published January 18, 2024.

We gratefully acknowledge these organizations for their generous support.
