Young Artist Vocal Competition 2026
Supported by the Millie Andrews Young Artist Fund
The Williamsburg Choral Guild annually invites applications from high school and undergraduate vocalists to participate in a solo vocal competition.
Finalists will be invited to perform in a masterclass with Dr. Michelle Kwok, Artistic Director of The Williamsburg Choral Guild, and the William & Mary Barksdale Treble Chorus and Botetourt Singers,
on Saturday October 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The Masterclass is open to the public and will be held in the Choir Rehearsal Room in the Music Arts Building at William & Mary.
The winners of each category, high school and college, will receive a cash prize of $300 and will be invited to perform during the Choral Guild’s Voices of Williamsburg concert
on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
Those interested should apply by Wednesday, September 23, 2026, using the application form.

Video submissions are also due on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
- Requirements for applicants:
- The applicant must be a high school or undergraduate college student.
- The video submission must be unedited, e., a single take of a classical vocal solo with accompaniment. Prerecorded accompaniment or Accompanist is allowed.
- DO NOT identify the performer in the video or filename
