The Williamsburg Choral Guild is an auditioned, volunteer organization that is always happy to welcome new members. Membership is open to high school students and adults.
Auditions for the 2026-27 Season
Any singers wanting to audition are welcome to sign up for an audition time and attend an open rehearsal. Read details below.
Anyone who is interested in auditioning to sing in our March 6, 2027, Pops concert must make special arrangements to audition on or before December 10, 2026. If you would like to do so, please contact Jean Roberts at jeaneroberts55@gmail.com.
There will be an open rehearsal and opportunity to audition on Monday, March 22, 2027. Successful singers would then be able to join the choir to sing in the last concert of the season, Puccini Messa di Gloria & Verdi Opera Choruses on May 15, 2027, along with future seasons.

The Director will check the applicant’s ability to match pitch and sing in tune. Singers should prepare the piece of music linked on the audition sign up form, which will allow for evaluation of the singer’s range, voice quality, and ability to blend. The Director will also assess the singer’s ability to sight read a short excerpt.

Rehearsals, Performances and Policies
Williamsburg Choral Guild rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. from late August through early May. Rehearsals are held at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church; 215 Richmond Road; Williamsburg.
Singers who are enrolled as full or part-time students in degree-granting programs qualify for a reduced fee for annual dues. Students are not required to pay for music. Financial assistance is also available to all members.
Singers are required to follow the Guild’s policies and procedures regarding attendance, preparation, and concert dress. In the 2021-22 season, the Guild adopted a less formal style of concert black clothing.
Membership shall not be denied based on race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.
